Waffles

For the first time in three weeks, I'm sitting down to make waffles. I left for Brazil on April 21st. In the picture, if you look closely at the topmost peak in the distance, you can see Christ the Redeemer statue, a famous landmark in Rio de Janeiro. This view is from Sugarloaf Mountain. I didn't make it to the foot of the statue earlier that day, with the rest of the group. I was, how shall I say it, indisposed. I'm still not quite 100%, but am feeling much better. As glorious as the trip was, I am happy to be sitting in my little kitchen, making waffles for my family and just appreciating all the wonderful things about home. Now, for those back episodes of Grey's Anatomy!
